Enclosed you will find a summary of the most important amendments to several tax laws, which were published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on December 27, 2006, and which entered into effect on January 1st, 2007.
Amendments described in this summary include those related to the Federal Revenue Act, Federal Tax Code, Income Tax Law, Asset Tax Law and Excise Tax Law (“Ley del Impuesto Especial sobre Producción y Servicios”).
A detailed analysis of the aforementioned amendments, along with recent changes to the Regulation of the Income Tax Law and the new Regulations to the Value Added Tax Law and the Excise Tax Law is also available in Spanish. This additional document also includes comments regarding tax incentives, and less relevant tax laws published in December of 2006.
