INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, PATENTS, TRADEMARKS AND
COPYRIGHTS
Much of our intellectual property work
is for non-Mexican companies conducting business in Mexico. A staff of
attorneys, engineers and computer specialists helps adapt foreign patent
specifications and claims to Mexican law, register patents and trademarks
and maintain them by handling the necessary renewals. Our computer system,
which is linked to the Mexican Patent and Trademark Department, permits
us to give clients timely notice of dates important for the protection
of intellectual property. We also perform trademark searches and prepare
and register user agreements.
We register copyrights and draft agreements
between authors and publishers. Increasingly, due to changes in technology,
we are called on for assistance in licensing and litigation relating to
computer software.
Goodrich, Riquelme's attorneys handle
litigation for clients in all areas such as licensing, patent and trademark
infringement, including counterfeiting, pirating and unlawful duplication
of computer software.
