Although banking operations had largely been closed to foreign banking institutions in Mexico, they are now opening up and we are assisting a number of North American, European and Asian banks and offices in conducting various banking and financial operations and transactions.

We work with companies in their transactions with Mexican and foreign banks, counseling them in loan agreements, as well as drafting and negotiating security arrangements.

We represent underwriters in connection with debt offerings, including private and foreign currency debt. In addition, our lawyers have been called upon to represent many of these companies in their workouts, including suspension of payments and bankruptcy proceedings.
